Apple releases Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 update

Apple has released Mac OS X Lion version 10.7.3 and while there doesn't seem to be any new goodies for iPhone or iPad users, if you're running Apple's desktop OS, it's waiting for you via Software Update.

OS X Lion was first shown off at Apple's Back to the Mac and presented as taking iPhone and iPad innovations back to Apple's traditional computer lines. While some of the changes have been welcomed with open arms, others have experienced birthing pains, and hopefully this and future updates help take the rough edges off. Either that, or 10.8 better give us another solid Snow Leopard-ing of the OS.

Details below.

The 10.7.3 update is recommended for all OS X Lion users and includes general operating system fixes that improve the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac including fixes that:

-Add Catalan, Croatian, Greek, Hebrew, Romanian, Slovak, Thai, and Ukrainian language support -Address issues when using smart cards to log into OS X -Resolve issues authenticating with directory services -Address compatibility issues with Windows file sharing
