If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates on this topic. Using your iPhone in your car can be a pain, depending on the type of car you drive. Typically, you are dealing with extra cords and chargers, and/or Bluetooth devices that can get in the way, clutter up the inside of your vehicle, and drain your device's battery. There is a cool new Kickstarter project that is looking to change all of that. The new "Dash", from Devium is a in-dash solution for your smartphone integration. It consists on the main unit that installs in the dash of your vehicle, replacing your current car stereo, and a removable faceplate that fits your smartphone. Currently, it only supports the iPhone 4 and 4S, but other models with be added. The dock is a unique magnetic aluminum with 30 pin connector set up, that is in landscape orientation. The developer also says, the final unit will allow for iPhone cases, like Apple's Bumper. It has just one knob, for volume control. It also has it's own app to control all the features you may need in the car, like GPS, music, and Siri, among others.
