For the fans out there, the Global Video app has been updated to include a new live syncing feature to allow you to have an interactive experience during the show, a trend that seems to growing for TV shows (like the Walking Dead app). As last reported, the app had surpassed over 720,000 downloads back in December. The updates takes advantage of Game Center to allow fans to earn points and achievements during the show. More importantly, this update includes a much needed fix for AirPlay, as it would time out before and go to sleep. Here's what's new: This release includes a companion experience where users can live sync their Global Video app while watching Survivor on Global! • Compete as part of an online tribe to earn points and virtual achievements in Game Center • Join the conversation with our in-app Twitter integration • Enjoy real-time polls, trivia, fun facts and more This release also fixes several playback bugs, including: • iDevice will no longer go into "sleep" mode while using AirPlay • Audio bug found in version 1.4 • Improved scrubbing   The Global Video app is free and is universal for both the iPhone and the iPad.
