While Apple's iPad has deeply influenced today's digital learning technology, a recent study shows that using paper textbooks in schools is a lot cheaper than iPads. It seems that paper textbooks in an average high school class currently costs about $180,000 but switching to iPads would cost $430,000. However, some researchers believe that iPad is more cost effective in the long run because the tablet doesn't need to be replaced as often as paper books.
