Microsoft details Black Friday sales
A day ahead of Black Friday, Microsoft has posted a teaser page for its own online store's discounts. The company plans to give away free Windows Phones to anyone who signs up for a two-year contract, undercutting even a one-cent Amazon deal. It's not known if this includes a modern phone like the Focus S or is limited to older hardware.
Mac users will be included in the deal and should see a $40 discount on Office for Mac 2011.
Other discounts include large discounts on Windows PCs, including the slow-selling Acer Iconia dual-touchscreen notebook, which drops from $999 to $599. A Sony VAIO S variant, the S137GX, will drop down by a similar amount. Samsung's RC512 will go from $799 to $499, and Office 2010 Home and Student Edition will take a slight drop from $150 to $120.
Gamers will get discounts on a Kinect sensor bundle, which packs the Xbox 360 add-on with Fruit Ninja, Gunslinger, and the usual Kinect Adventures at $100 instead of the usual $150. An Xbox ultimate gaming bundle will take up to $200 off, although details haven't been given so far.
