Uses pivoting dock connector

Stem is now shipping the Time Command Mini, an alarm dock for iPhones, iPads, and iPods. Based on the regular Time Command, the Mini loses some buttons in addition to size. It does however retain a dimmable LED display, and a pivoting dock connector, which is also said to support most cases.

Most of the advanced functions of the Mini are tied to a dedicated app, Stem:Connect. Alarms set in the app, for instance, will transfer over to the dock. The app also lets users set custom sounds or music for them, choose the rate at which they ramp up, and pick different combinations of days to make them active on.

Also part of the app are modules for weather, Internet radio, and creating custom sleep sessions with music or relaxation noise. Stem is selling the Mini for $80; the Stem:Connect app is a free download. Native iPhone and iPad interfaces are included.
