Untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1 nearly ready for prime time (Jailbreak) Jan 3rd 2012, 19:26 By Andrew Wray, Tuesday, Jan 3, 2012 | 1 Comment Cydia Blog has an update on the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1 by i0n1c , indicating a release may be possible shortly after Apple pushes the firmware update to the public Following the release of 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak by pod2g, Stefan (i0n1c) immediately tweeted to confirm that all his exploit and vulnerabilities are still alive, which means he might use them to untether 5.1 jailbreak. As far as we know, this untethered jailbreak doesn't cover the iPhone 4S or iPad 2, which are both powered by the Apple A5 chip.
