iAd starts dishing an extra 10% in developer payouts

Apple iAd logo

Back in February, Apple promised that they would be increasing developer revenue share from iAds from 60% to 70%, and today that change has gone into effect. One would hope that this would mean more participation among app developers, especially since the minimum buy-in from advertisers was dropped from $1 million to $100,000 since launch.

Although Apple iAds promised to be way more polished and interactive than your average mobile ad, adoption has been low, and with established players like AdMob offering solutions which simultaneously tackle multiple platforms, there's no sign of iAd's position changing.

Any developers in the house getting anywhere with iAds? Everyone else, have you been particularly smitten by any of the few iAds you've bumped into?
