According to a report from Reuters, Amazon representatives have stated that Steve Jobs' biography could "very likely" become the online bookstore's top-selling book of 2011. Both the print copy and electronic versions of the late Apple CEO's biography shot to number one best-seller list on Amazon.com on the first day of sales. It's also the No. 1 seller on Apple's iBooks for iPad and iPhone. In China, 250,000 copies of the book are sold out in the country and folks lined up before bookstores opened just to get copy of the book.

The book didn't start picking-up speed until the world heard the news of Steve Jobs' death on October 5th, 2011. Ever since interesting revelations starting coming out from the book around the web, the demand for the biography of Steve Jobs has skyrocketed dramatically.

According to Reuters, the book took two years to be completed. Throughout that time, more than 40 interviews were conducted by author Walter Isaacson.

Steve Jobs received a lot of attention from Sony recently, which is planning to make a movie based on the book. Many reports say Sony is already in talks with publishers to acquire feature rights to it. The Los Angeles Times cited an anonymous person who was briefed on the project and claims that Aaron Sorkin is the top choice of the movie studio to write the script. Sorkin recently commented that he was "considering the project," but a decision have not been made. Many media pegged Sorkin as a perfect fit for this project, since he got an opportunity to know Jobs personally in the past for a Pixar movie, which Sorkin ultimately turned down.

Rumor says Mark Gordon will be the film's producer, and that the Sony Studio is reportedly offering $1 to 3 million to Walter Isaacson to produce this movie about the life of Steve Jobs.
