Allows charging up to three times on the go
Samsung has released a new Bluetooth headset, the HM7000, that features a small combination case and portable charging stand that allows the headset to be recharged up to three additional times while on the go. The case features an on/off switch and the headset itself offers dual-mic noise reduction and echo cancellation, a boom mic for enhanced call clarity, voice commands and voice prompts as well as an Android app for additional abilities.
The portable case charges the unit via a MicroUSB connection, and features a compact design that compliments the headset itself. The FreeSync app (free), available on the Android Market, adds features such as text-to-speech capability for e-mail and text messaging, social network feed updates, caller ID and other users. The device employs Bluetooth 3.0 is rated for a talk time of up to four hours, or up to 16 hours with the charging case. Standby time is rated at 160 hours or up to 640 hours with charging unit.
The HM7000 is now available at T-Mobile retail stores and select RadioShack locations. It supports both stereo (A2DP) and mono (HFP/HSP) profiles, and retails for $100.
