Near the end of the Steve Jobs biography, author Walter Isaacson explains what Jobs details to him about his vision for a television set:

"I'd like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use," he told me. "It would be seamlessly synced with all of your devices and with iCloud." No longer would users have to fiddle with complex remotes for DVD players and cable channels. "It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine. I finally cracked it."

With that being said, a new rumour has emerged with supposed details about the upcoming Apple television. Smarthouse is reporting the following, according to its insiders:

Sources at a major Japanese company who are involved in manufacturing the TV believe that the 55″ model will compete with new Smart TVs from Samsung and LG that will have new processors built in while offering a combination of OLED display, as well as new Super HD TV technology from LG.

These new TVs will be powered by the next-generation chip set to debut in the iPad 3, which logically could be the A6, rumoured to be already under trial production by TSMC. It will consist of voice commands powered by Siri on the iPhone 4S and potentially iPad 3.

Gene Munster's Piper Jaffray has also made claims of a rumoured 'iTV' that could debut in late half of 2012.

Wouldn't that be awesome? We've already seen videos of SiriProxy controlling TVs and entire homes.
