With just a few days away from Apple's new release of the most awaited smartphone on the market, analysts summarize expectations.
Chris Whitmore, expert at Deutsche Bank Equity Research, is waiting to see at Apple's 4 October event, an iPhone 5 with a better camera, a new aluminium case and a wider screen, while Ashok Kumar, analyst for Rodman & Renshaw is sure that the new iPhone will have better graphics silicon, similar to iPad 2. Gene Munster was more generous in speculations regarding iPhone. He predicted powerful voice recognition software to be integrated with the features of the next-generation iPhone.

More and more analysts agree that iPhone 5 will have twice amount of memory that iPhone 4 had, possibly 1 GB. A better camera is also to be expected, with a resolution upgraded to 8 MB from previous 5 MB and more options. A much more powerful voice control software is already rumored about more and more intensely. Dual core Apple A5 processor, similar to iPad 2 will be needed to boost performance. The possibility of Near Field Communication for virtual wallets has not been confirmed. Qualcomm chipset will allow connection to both CDMA and GSM networks.
One of the things not to be expected in iPhone 5's specifications is 4G. According to Ashok Kumar, Apple's 4G devices can't be ready for the market sooner than 2012.
According to analysts, Apple will need now to adapt its pace to the competitor's. In the 15 months since the last iPhone was revealed, rival companies have upgraded their products every three or four months.
