iPhone 5 – The Moment When Apple Needs To Partner With More Carriers
Sep 23rd 2011, 16:01

Sprint needs to get the iPhone 5 in their portfolio or else, they simply risk losing more customers. AppleInsider reports that Sprint's chief executive, Dan Hesse "accused" the iPhone of being the biggest reason for customers migration.

At a recent even organized by Cnet, Hesse told the press: "If we get it, if, we may have to adjust our guidance for that." However, previous rumours did indicate that Sprint could carry the fifth version of the iPhone, along with AT&T and Verizon.

Knowing how huge the iPhone 5 charisma will be after its launch, we can see why Sprint would want this smartphone in their portfolio. We can say for sure that in the same position is T-Mobile; whose CFO announced in a note to T-Mobile's employees that they will not get the iPhone 5 this year. This leaves room for speculation – could it mean that Sprint and T-Mobile can conclude their deals with Apple in 2012, then?

If we refer to the fact that Al Gore "officially" announced that they iPhones will be launched in October, we have to wonder – could there be a 4S version, as well? If that will be the case, then Sprint, T-Mobile's chances would be much bigger than before, since Apple would have a double-bladed sword to crush the competition.

Apple could earn much more money and gain much more clients and consumers than they have now if they set deals much quicker than at the current pace. Probably that's why, recently, Apple has increased their activity in the Asian market, especially in China, where they have recently launched the 3G version of the iPad 2. Knowing how many subscribers there are in China, reaching to as much carriers as possible is the best strategy for Apple.
